Rose Quartz is often referred to as the stone of love and compassion. It embodies a gentle energy that promotes feelings of peace and emotional healing. This beautiful pink crystal is believed to attract love, enhance self-love, and encourage forgiveness, making it a popular choice for those seeking to nurture their relationships.
History
Rose quartz has a rich history dating back to ancient civilizations. Used by Egyptians for jewelry and cosmetics, it was believed to promote beauty. It was carved into seals in ancient Rome, symbolizing love and harmony. Today, it remains popular for its soothing energy and heart connection.
Mythology
Rose Quartz is often associated with Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty. According to mythology, Aphrodite and Adonis, the Greek god of rebirth and reincarnation, were lovers. Ares, the god of war and Aphrodite's former lover grew jealous of the two and killed Adonis. When Aphrodite found Adonis, she wept and sprinkled him with her tears, which were said to be the nectar of the gods. When Aphrodite's tears touched the ground where Adonis had bled, rose quartz was created to symbolize their eternal love.
